The Los Angeles Lakers have once again stunned the world. They eliminated the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors to advance to the Western Conference Finals. Lebron James lead the Lakers with a 30-point performance, along with Anthony Davis's 20 rebounds. They now look ahead to their next matchup against the Denver Nuggets to see who will go to the NBA Finals.
This matchup between the Lakers and the Nuggets will be one to keep an eye on. These teams saw each other four times in the regular season, and both teams would pick up two wins against each other. The latest one was a 122-109 victory for the Nuggets in Denver back in January. This wasn't the only time these two teams have seen one another in the playoffs, back in the bubble of the Western Conference Finals, the Los Angeles Lakers would dominate the series over the Denver Nuggets, four games to one.
With some old and new faces meeting one another, with two different stories on their regular season, these two teams will battle it out once again for a chance for the NBA Finals. Two factors for this series will come from the big men, as it will be Nikola Jokic of the Nuggets going up against Anthony Davis of the Lakers, as they will battle to see who will rule the paint in the series. The other factor is the man himself, Lebron James of the Lakers, as his ability to attack the basket, his court vision and his ability to create monster plays in the open court will make him a threat for this Nuggets defense to slow down.
Predictions can be thrown all over on this one, however, this matchup could go either way. This series will go to game seven, as they will battle for every game and every basket, but I can see the Nuggets taking this one and making it to the NBA Finals for the first time in teams' history. This is going to be a thrilling series but could go either way.
