Top 4 series to watch in the first round of NBA Playoffs

As the NBA Playoffs tips off, there are many series in the first round that can be considered huge matchups through to start the playoffs. We have your top four matchups to keep an eye on and that could possibly be a 7 game series.


1. Suns vs Clippers, Western Conference Round 1

This matchup will see former Oklahoma City Thunder teammates go up against one another, as Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns takes on Russell Westbrook of the Los Angeles Clippers. This matchup of Pacific division rivals will also show stars Like Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton of the Suns taking on Kawhi Leonard and Norman Powell of the Clippers. This series has the attention of NBA fans and the way that both teams play as of late, this has all the makings of a game seven series.


Prediction- Phoenix Suns win series 4-2


2. 76ers vs Nets, Eastern Conference Round 1

The Philadelphia 76ers are taking on the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the playoffs, as all eyes will be on Joel Embiid of the 76ers take on Mikal Bridges of the Nets. This matchup will see the possible regular season MVP take on a Brooklyn Nets team that has had its ups and downs this season.


Prediction- Philadelphia 76ers win series 4-0


3. Kings vs Warriors, Western Conference Round 1

The Sacramento Kings have made the playoffs for the first time since 2006, as they will take on the defending NBA champions Golden State Warriors. This matchup will showcase Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green of the Warriors taking on Domantas Sabonis, De'Aaron Fox, and Harrison Barnes of the Kings. Many believe a possible upset could happen here for the Kings, as they seek their first series win since 2004.


Prediction- Sacramento Kings win the series 4-3


4. Knicks vs Cavaliers, Western Conference Round 1

The New York Knicks will take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in their first playoff appearance since the 2020-2021 NBA season. Jalen Brunson, Julius Randle, R.J. Barrett, and Mitchell Robinson of the Knicks will take on Jarrett Allen, Donovan Mitchell, and Darius Garland of the Cavaliers, as fans will see these two Eastern Conference rivals battle it out to see who advances to the next round of the playoffs.


Prediction- New York Knicks win series 4-3
